This activity aims to develop the fundamental movement skills of locomotion (crawling, walking), coordination (reaching, grasping), and balance (flexibility).

How to Play

Place items inside the larger objects, then hide the large objects around the space for your child to find. When the child finds the object, encourage them to explore and see if they can find the item inside.

Important Note: Ensure that you use items that would not be a choking hazard to children.

Change it up / Alternatives / Additional Options
  • For children with a visual impairment, paint the surface of the large object to provide tactile feedback for the child.
  • If you have a child with another type of disability not mentioned above, they may be able to participate in this activity without adaptations or modifications.
