Snow Throw
Age
              3-5 years

              Literacy links: counting; number recognition. Vocabulary: throwing words (throw, roll, toss). Social Skills: patience, turn-taking.
          Equipment
          None
          Optional: bingo dabber to draw in the snow or a stick
              Physical Activity
              Vigorous play, developing body control and spatial awareness; cooperative play.
How to Play
              - Build three piles of snow, one pile closer and the other two piles further away.
 - Have children make a snow ball.
 - Draw a line in the snow for children to throw from.
 - Children throw their snow ball at the piles of snow.
 
Notes
              This activity aims to develop the fundamental movements skills of locomotion (running), and coordination (throwing).
