How to Play
  1. Place cotton balls (all white if possible) on top of the parachute/bed sheet.
  2. Wave the parachute/bed sheet up and down to create a snow storm!
  3. Collect the cotton balls and place the snow back on the parachute/bed sheet and do it again!
Change it up / Alternatives / Additional Options
  • For a child with a disability that limits their locomotor skills, provide a support worker to assist in collecting the cotton balls before passing them to the child to put on the parachute/bed sheet.
  • For a child that may be sensitive to the texture of the cotton balls, make sure to have other options available for them to place on the parachute/bed sheet, such as light foam balls or beach balls.
  • For a child with a visual impairment, provide a ball that makes noise as it bounces on the parachute/bed sheet.

This activity works to develop the fundamental movement skills of: coordination (flexibility and throwing).
