Easy Granola
This recipe is easily adaptable if you have children with nut allergies. Compared to store-bought granola, this version is much lower in sugar and fat yet fully packed with flavour and good food.
1. Preheat oven to 325F.
2. Ensure all nuts and seeds being used are chopped small enough to prevent choking in children 4 and under. Mix all ingredients except dried fruit and spread in an even layer on two baking sheets (or if you only have one, cook half at a time).
3. Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden, stirring every 10 minutes.
4. Add dried fruit if using. Allow to cool completely before storing in air-tight bag or container. Keeps well in refrigerator for up to 1 month.
